We’re laying out the “Welcome” mat & putting on the kettle - why not join us at Head Office for an informal morning tea, where you can meet our staff, fellow volunteers and client families?
Parenting can be a lonely job – and so can mentoring sometimes. We’re throwing open the doors in the spirit of community to provide an opportunity to mix and mingle, share ideas and stories, or just have a welcome social break in your day. We still have many more children than volunteers, so why not bring a friend along to see what we do? There’s no need to pre-book – just come along.

Yes, it’s on again! And this year there are no excuses! We are making it soooo easy for you to participate. You basically only have to pick between Option 1 and Option 2:
Option 1: It’s life – you’re in it! Register to run, hop, skip, jump or crawl to the finish line, select Aunties & Uncles as your charity of choice, & email the link to everyone you’ve ever met, asking them to sponsor you. We’ve elected not to set up a team page this year – this allows you to customize your own fundraising page with your own unique style (!) to encourage colleagues, friends & family to donate. Don’t forget to send us an email in the office to let us know you’re registered – give us your shirt size & postal address & we’ll send you a cap & shirt to wear on the day.
Option 2: You’d rather rub Dencorub into your eyeballs than mingle with the sweaty masses on the day. We respect your choice (& many of us share it) You can still go online & choose to donate to any athlete who is running for the Aunties & Uncles cause.
Last year we raised over $2,000. This year, one happy runner has already set a challenge to raise $5,000 personally! How high can we go? The sky is the limit!
Right now, we have almost 200 children on our waiting list & only 40 volunteers trained & awaiting a link. We urgently need to boost awareness of our program plus raise money to support it. We thank you in advance for helping to celebrate our 35th anniversary with us in 2009, by choosing to support Aunties & Uncles as your charity for the Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon.
